Elena figured out that my dad requires to be talked to differently as she observed all of us finger spelling to him. She quickly picked up on it and began doing it herself!
Elena now can speak three languages?.... WOW! That is AWESOME! Hahahaha! :-D Kids do seem to pick up whatever the adult is doing! A member at our church has a son who they adopted from Thailand (sp.?) who is deaf. I enjoyed watching the mother sign all the Christmas songs to him. The son is now 21. Signing can be very strenuous on the body!.....and I am sure you all are well aware that! Heeheeheehee!
