The Best of a Decade in Pictures -- 2000

Finally, we have arrived to the year 2000.  On that year, our dear Pastor Ben:

Went fishing.

Had a construction theme for VBS?

Went fishing again.

Enjoyed Camp Bethel that year.

Went fishing again.

And still found time to balance something.

In the meantime, on the other side of the map, I:

Started the year with a stellar appearance in the newspaper!

 Made news again ;o)

Mourned the loss of a beloved cousin, but celebrated the one who remained.

 Made really good friendships.

Had lots of fun and made more friendships.

Seemed to be unable to stay away from the press!

The Best of a Decade in Pictures -- 2001

It seems as though my year 2001 was quite uneventful or, quite honestly, I never had a camera handy... so here is what little I did find:

These were some of the people from the youth group from church.

These were some of the people I spent lots of time with as well.

Mister Pastor Ben, on the other hand... had a quite busy 2001

He hiked.

He balanced stuff (for VBS).

He hiked some more.

He balanced more stuff.

He had the honor of baptizing his niece.

And he balanced even more stuff.

The Best of a Decade in Pictures -- 2002

This is where it gets tricky... some most all of these pictures have no date in them, so trying to piece together my own life, let alone Ben´s is proving to be quite the challenge!

This seems to have been 2002:

While in Guatemala, I did a bit of everything.

"Lucy, you are born into a family. You do not join them like you do the marines."
(While You Were Sleeping)
Well, I did join my very own Sinclair family!
(I know there are much better recent pictures, but this is
the timeline-appropriate one!)

This little man was like a ray of sunshine in my life!

I saw my first fall

Minerva visited me in Madrid.

and saw my first snow!

In the meantime, he apparently:

was associated with an interesting group of people... lol!

was very active in the "sport" of paintball

was partying at his apartment with the youth group

and managed to do some outreach in NY city?

The Best of a Decade in Pictures -- 2003

I have to say that 2003 was, by far, the most decisive year in our lives:

He went to see my world.

I joined a missions trip to Turkey.

We spent time in his world.

He proposed!  In the most awesomely romantic way, if I may say so myself!

I received a dear friend in Guatemala.

We "Tied the knot" the American way.

We had an unbelievably awesome intimate and honoring reception.

I spent time with her... albeit short.

We had our first Christmas together.

We made it legal in Guatemala.

The Best of a Decade in Pictures -- 2004

2004 gave us:

A parting to start a new family.

A happy bride.

A cute flower girl.

A groom and his best man.

A happy day!

My Mom´s company when we received the baby news
and her attention for the first days of morning sickness!

The first baby bump!

The treasure of a friendship.

A great getaway with dearest friends.

An old fashioned way of keeping track of the pregnancy.
